Paleo Diet Food List
Probably one of the most important aspects of the paleo diet food list is the health benefits that this diet brings to your body and the spirit.
The foundation and premise of this nutritional lifestyle is that if the food choices were good for our ancestors and allowed them to evolve, than we can’t go wrong with them. In other words: back to the basics! Make every effort to avoid highly processed foods of the modern lifestyle, and avoid obesity, high blood pressure, fatigue, headaches and cardiovascular diseases. It is truly a matter of LIFE & DEATH!
The Paleo Diet Food List is needed by so many people looking to shed weight and obtain a suitable diet program. Everyone has to make a decision for themselves if a plan is going to work for that matter. Mainly, if you’re a steak admirer, this eating plan may just be the perfect weight loss situation. Lean cuts of meat are among the central products of the Paleo Diet Food List. A few recipes you may like to keep in mind can include pork and also chicken.
You see…weight loss isn’t something you just do for a few days. It’s a permanent change in your lifestyle and diet. We have excess (fat and disease) in our bodies, not because we’re not active (or exercising) enough but because we have excess in our lives. Often the excess detracts from the energy that would drive us to exercise and be more active.
When creating your paleo diet food list, one thing that confuses people is what foods is part of the diet. Some people have incorrectly called it the diet meat only diet which is incorrect. Your paleo diet food list should focus on foods that occur naturally without assistance from man. Luckily, we no longer have to hunt for our food but it is still important to try and get food that is grown local to ensure that it is as fresh as can be.
Our ancestors were highly adept at eating large amounts of leafy greens, which provided bulk and sustenance when other foods became sparse. Many of the vegetables they consumed resemble the green, leafy, fibrous vegetables we eat today, like lettuce, spinach, kale and broccoli.
These are generally low-starch vegetables, which are also low on the glycemic index. Vegetables that were not consumed in amounts like they are today include potatoes and corn. These are high on the glycemic index (they raise blood sugar quickly) and actually are considered grains. They were relatively sparse during the Paleolithic era.
If you’ve spent several years of your life bouncing around yo-yo diets and now you are feeling even more unhealthier and unsatisfied with yourself, than at the very beginning, it’s time to change your lifestyle, and create your own paleo diet food list. The word diet, actually, doesn’t mean a quick loose-all-that-weight-method, but a complete “list” containing all of your food choices. In other words, if you’re eating chips, candy and processed foods all day long, that doesn’t mean that you’re on some extreme non-diet, but simply you’re practicing a non-healthy diet.
If you live near a farmers market, it would be a good idea to check it out and see what types of food is available. If you can help it, try to have more celery, bell peppers, tomato, leeks, onions, eggplants, green onions, broccoli, cauliflowers, asparagus, cucumber, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, okra and artichokes. Spinach, lettuce, collard greens, mustard greens, Swiss chard, turnip greens, endive, chicory are perfect for your green leafy choices in your paleo diet food list.
Some root vegetables are also perfect to be added to the paleo diet food list in order to fulfill the nutrition that our body needs. Carrot, turnip, beet, parsnip, rutabaga, radish, sweet potato, yams, and radish are some root vegetables that have plenty of beneficial nutrition for your diet.
For your fruit snack, try to be healthier by eating more fruits such as strawberries, apples, bananas, blueberries, oranges, cranberry, blackberry, pears, grapefruits, nectarines, plums, pineapples, pomegranates, bananas, papayas, and tangerine. Coconuts and mangoes are also perfect for your paleo diet.
It is better to keep the varieties of vegetables and fruits every day. This way, your body can have nutrition from each fruit and vegetable from the paleo diet food list nicely.
